Hip Girl’s Guide to Homemaking Book Giveaway Winner

First I want to say thanks for entering and providing such great comments!  You all know how to live well it seems!  Pop back over and read through the comments~ they are full of great ideas! The randomly chosen winner was Grace.  Congrats for winning a copy of Kate Payne’s Hip Girl’s Guide to Homemaking!  I’ll send you an email so contact me with your mailing address and we’ll get that right out to you!

Here is what Grace had to say:

1. What makes your living space feel like your home?  Lots of books. I recently moved them all out to the living room to see them better.

2. What is your favorite tip for decorating or DIY on a budget? Dust Bunnies go with everything

3. Why do you want to win? Because I can’t wait to read the book

4. How do you like to entertain on a budget? Lots of food, forget the rest. Pie goes with everything.

Dust bunnies are ok and there will be pie? Sounds pretty fantastic to me!  I’ll be right over =)

If you didn’t win you of course have options!  You can buy your own copy from any of the usual places. Or even better, support your local independent bookstore.  You can request it from the library.  You can buy a copy with a friend.

Or- you can head on over to What Julia Ate and try your luck again with a giveaway.  And- bonus! She’s doing a 2nd prize of jam. I have had her jam and it is amazing. (Julia, I’m still dreaming of that Christmas Jam!)

In other news- there are still a couple spots left for the Cocktail/Happy Hour on June 25th to celebrate Kate’s book. Spots went quick so don’t linger if you want to come!  Those of you who did register I’ll be confirming and sending directions/information in the next few days!

Thanks for the recommendation of this book! I passed by a book store and saw in window – had to buy it. When I brought it home, I haphazardly opened the book to p. 84 “Introduction to Container Gardening”. I have been trying to grow plants, herbs, garden, whatever, for years with no success. It was meant to be, I thought. That is where I am starting. I figure a task at a time~
Love the dedication- I am definitely a beginner, and hoping this book will help me blossom into the happy little homemaker I was meant to be:)

    • It will Margie! The book is really fun~ and Kate is awesome. I don’t know if you follow her blog or not- but she has a lot of great information on there. Also- email me or something if you have gardening questions. I’m happy to help!
