It’s been sweet. Ok, not at all sweet. Very tart. But january citrus can jam is done. Over. Enough! I did my marmalade (Ruby Red Grapefruit w/ Vanilla! ). I pickled some lemons. I followed Briggys ‘s lead and made preserved lemons. I’m not going to blog about that….but I followed her recipe but added more dried chilis and peppercorns ‘cuz oooh, I just love me some zing.
As tantalizing as it has been, I gotta move on. It’s time. I’m headed to the earthmama that is carrots. I’m thinking spicy carrot relish….maybe with cabbage or radish. Taco topping? On a Bakesale Betty Chicken Sandwich? Stay tuned!
